Street Names

There are only a few streets in the area. The history on how they were named is as follows:

James Well

                          

Rogues Point

James Well Road

The longest road in James Well, bearing the name of the settlement. Click here to read about the history of James Well and how it got its name.

Grahn Road

Named after local resident Max Grahn who planted hundreds of trees in the area which now attract a vast range of birds.

Brown Road

Named after the farmer, Vic Brown, who owns the adjacent farm land. Some of the farmland has been sold off for a second row of settlement properties along Grahn and Brown Roads.

Rogues Point Road

The longest road in Rogues Point, bearing the name of the settlement. Click here to read about the history of Rogues Point and how it got its name.

Davey Road

Named after Alan Davey who was a property owner of the land developed by David Chapman.

Chapman Road

Named by David Chapman who subdivided land along the west side of now Chapman Road. His original plan involved a caravan park which did not happen due to a lack of water.

Tim Court

Named after the son of David Chapman (see Chapman Road).
